Dave has been playing in venues in Virginia and North Carolina for the past 27 years. Born in New Jersey, Dave and family moved to Gordonsville, Virginia in 1973. Dave picked up guitar in 1975 and has been playing professionally since 1977. Dave co-founded "Patchwork" in 1983. With one CD to it's credit, Dave released his first solo effort in December of 2000, "Ocracoma". A member of The Virginia Organization Of Composers And Lyricists (VOCAL), Dave was nominated Songwriter Of The Year in 2000 and Recording Artist Of The Year in 2001. Dave also received Honorable Mention at The 2003 John Lennon Songwriting Contest for his composition "Shattered Chains". In 2005, Dave's song "Take Me Whole", from the "Ocracoma" CD won first place at The Flat Rock Folk Festival in Flat Rock, N.C.

Dave has just released his second CD, "Perfect Poetry" in the winter of 2007.
